    HARD COMEDY

    Alex Vance is a writer based in Vancouver, Canada with indigenous, Caribbean and European roots. Alex enjoys writing and making films about things that make people awkward, usually stemming from a feminist perspective. She booked her first writing gig in 2022, on an animated historical fiction Métis series in development “Two Rivers" . Her latest short film “Drunk Shitstory” a comedic parody of the hit show “Drunk History” earned an official selection and screening at Vancouver’s Shits N Giggles Fest.

  • BRIAN RAWLINS

    THRILLER, ACTION, SCI-FI, HORROR

    In 2019, Brian and his writing partner, Sal Cardoni, sold their pitch LIVE FROM THE VATICAN, a horror-thriller about a live exorcism at the Vatican, to Paramount, with Matt Jackson (TRIAL OF CHICAGO SEVEN, ALL THE OLD KNIVES) producing. In 2021, Blumhouse bought their survival thriller spec, UNSEEN. Slated for release on MGM+ in early 2023, it stars Midori Francis (GRAY'S ANATOMY) and Jolene Purdy (WHITE LOTUS, WANDA VISION). It tells the story of a depressed gas station clerk who helps a nearly blind woman escape her murderous ex in the woods via Facetime. Currently, Brian and Sal have a sci-fi action project set up with Kennedy/Marshal, another sci-fi action with 87 North (ATOMIC BLONDE, NOBODY, VIOLENT NIGHT) and an action comedy at Paul Feig's Fegico. They are repped by The Paradigm Agency.

    Bruna is an award-winning Portugese writer based in London. In 2021, she was a finalist in the CANNES Series Unlimited Writer’s Residency and Grand Prize Winner of the Emergining Screenwriters first Drama Genre Busing Competition.

    Coradata McCloud is a Black-Filipina TV/Feature writer from rural Florida. After a career in the buying world of fashion, she started pursuing her true first love: writing. Her stories center around Black/Mixed female leads who are complex, flawed, compelling, and unique using elements of comedy, horror, and a touch of surrealism. She loves finding new ways to explore the complicated nature of relationships between humans whether it‘s romantic, familial, or platonic. She was chosen as the winner of MTV’s Inaugural First Time Screenwriters contest.

    Dave is the creator & writer of the hit digital series "RIGHT NOW with John Goblikon" and also plays John the Goblin. Dave wrote the book "John Goblikon's Guide to Living Your Best Life" by Rarebird Publishing, CBS Television has now optioned the book for TV with 3arts set to produce.

  • DRAGO MUNTEANU

    Originating from Eastern Europe, Drago conjured up stories from an early age to escape the ordinary reality he felt trapped in. A graduate of the American Film Institute, he paid his dues in the underbelly of Hollywood while honing his craft, screenwriting. His script, LION, earned him an invitation to Warner Bros. Pictures Blind Script Deal and is now in development at Das Films, with Stephen Windon (The Gray Man, F9: The Fast Saga ) attached as a director. His subsequent project, North of Fear South of Pain made it in the top 50 Launch Pad Feature Competition and was positioned amongst the highest ranked thrillers on Coverfly in 2022. With an appetite for themes that move and inspire and characters that persevere at all costs, his writing weaves together elements of hazard, mystery, and awe that makes each climax worth dying for.

  • EVAN LAWLESS

    Evan worked with Artillery Creative and Oil & Cattle to adapt a GQ magazine article titled “Murder in the Math Lab” to a limited series. He most recently wrote a thriller for Lifetime TV with Shadowboxer which is currently in production. As a biracial man of African American and Jewish descent, he has been able to shape his stories with a unique perspective. He tends to write embed high concept, thriller, action-adventure, detective and stories.

  • GEM LITTLE

    DRAMA, THRILLER, HORROR

    Gem Little, a black queer women and Chicago native, is a producer, writer based in Los Angeles. Gem is an MFA graduate of the American Film Institute where she honed her craft as a storyteller. During her time at AFI, Gem held internships with Charles King's MACRO and Ava DuVernay’s ARRAY Filmworks.

    Gem has more than a decade of experience as a filmmaker. Her films have been recognized by the AMERICAN BLACK FILM FESTIVAL’S HBO SHORT AWARD, BRONZELENS, HARLEM INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, INDIE SHORT AWARDS CANNES, and many others.

    She was a recipient of a $25,000 grant to produce a short film she wrote called PENS & PENCILS through Wavelength Productions and Black TV & Film Collective’s Black Producers Fellowship. The film is a horror-thriller about the school-to-prison pipeline.

    Most recently, Gem produced a WARNERMEDIA ONEFIFTY pilot, REMEMBER, alongside creator, Bernard David Jones.

    Gem is also an activist, known for her work in community development and social impact, including starting Indiana’s state-wide program that helps justice- involved people start their own small businesses.

  • GINA MERCHAN

    COMEDY, SOAPY DRAMA

    Gina is a television writer, originally from Queens, New York. She is the daughter of eccentric Colombian immigrants who practiced transcendental meditation and followed an Indian guru. She studied theater and communications at Hofstra University and continued to pursue acting, appearing in national commercials, on stage and film. Tired of the limited roles offered to Latin actors (cop or spicy love interest or spicy cop), she switched to screenwriting. She wrote her first feature, Teleglobo, through the screenwriting program at USC. The script was a finalist in several screenwriting competitions. She has since written several screenplays and original television pilots that have placed in the Austin Film Festival, Page Awards, Oaxaca International Film Festival and Seattle International.

    James Bloom is a comedy writer represented by United Agents in London and AAO Entertainment. His latest comedy series set in adland is in development with the BBC. His series 'The Purgers' was developed by Working Title TV and his short film 'Love Your Neighbour' funded by Working Title Films and the British Council. He also co-wrote and directed the popular online series 'Conspiracy for Good', nominated for an International Emmy. Most recently wrote and produced the pilot for 'Peeling the Melon', a half-hour comedy featuring Tim Downie and Ricky Grover.

    Rachel is a gay storyteller from a strict Christian background in the south. She writes about conflicted women who challenge the status quo and themes dealing with survival, independence, and identity. She was named a Top 25 Writer to watch in 2022 by the ISA, a Top 10 Finalist for the 2022 Roadmap Top Tier Competition, a Stowe Story Narrative Lab 2021 Fellow, and recently completed work on an OWA to develop IP for a multi-season series for a Sony based Producer.

  • RYAN WALKER-HARTSHORN

    DRAMA, COMEDY

    Ryan Walker-Hartshorn is an Oakland transplant living life in Brooklyn. She worked as a print and digital content creator for Bon Appétit, writing and producing stories—while also challenging the editorial staff to reflect on its content and center Black voices. Currently, she’s developing a comedy series with HBO Max, Enjoy Your Meal. Ryan holds a BA in Human Biology (with an emphasis in the social determinants of women’s health) and in African & African American Studies from Stanford University. While on campus she was a member of the 2013-2017 Women’s Soccer Team as they won three back-to-back PAC-12 championships and were semi-finalists in the 2014 NCAA final four. When she’s not writing, she’s playing pick-up soccer in the park or sitting at her fave local coffee shop with her dog, Biko. Figueroa has come to know himself as, "An Eastside Man, with a Westside Heart-" still living south of the 10 Freeway. Honing his unique perspective as a writer, he has come to meet some pretty interesting characters: Uncle Paco, Sheila the Prostitute Payphone, Willam Gibbet, and Sheriff Butter, to name a few. He has worked on many network television shows including FOX's Raising Hope and NBC's The Carmichael Show as a Writers' Assistant. He went on to write comedy sketches for Kenan Ivory Wayans on the reboot of In Living Color.As an African American man growing up in Watts, California, with Honduran roots, Yacer L.
